Cyrus announce new opening of engineering factory in South Wales.
Cyrus Bradford are delighted to announce the opening of a new production site in Briton Ferry South Wales.
In addition to established facilities in Bradford (46,000 sq. ft) and Durham (10,000 sq. Ft). Despite the challenges of Covid 19 the new factory in Briton Ferry is due to open for production on 3rd August and gives the company a further 3500 sq. Ft of production space, providing a facility in Wales from which to service customers based in both Wales and across the UK. The official opening by Stephen Kinnock MP will be 3rd September.
The company has an long established history as an OEM predominantly in two traditional mechanical product sectors, specialising in the design, manufacture & repair of Hydraulic, Pneumatic Cylinders and associated equipment and the same services for Industrial Gearbox & Transmission applications. In recent years the addition of new manufacture, repair, refurbishment and overhaul of process plant and production equipment further strengthened their services portfolio, creating a responsive team offering a wide range of services and support to a broad industry sector and a varied customer base.
Cyrus-Bradford currently employ over 48 staff in their Bradford and Durham sites and will be employing a further 9 new (highly skilled) employees from Wales, plus investing in the future with a trainee apprentice, who will go onto to become a valuable member of the team.
The new facility places them close to existing key customers, which can be vital when supplying support to plant critical applications and will be a hub for generating new business and employment in the area. The new factory will further enhance the company’s reputation as specialists in their arena in addition to the factory and personnel there has been additional investment in a wide range of machine tools including both CNC and conventional Lathes, Milling Machines, Welding & fitting plant and workshop equipment.
The opening of the new Briton Ferry factory will further enhance their services portfolio with the ability to offer dedicated in house technical support and consultation for the supply of both Ferrous and Non Ferrous castings.

We are looking forward to being an important part of the supply chain and to be able to strengthen the local industrial manufacturing base and offer a wide number of products and services in Wales some of which are not currently available”.
